“Bought a used Model Y from a private seller. Tesla was 3 weeks out for new key cards. NYBL came to my garage same day, wiped the previous owner's phone-key + cards, and paired fresh ones in about 25 minutes.”

Tesla Key Replacement Near Me in Dallas–Fort Worth
Tesla doesn't use traditional immobilizer transponders — instead, every Tesla pairs via NFC key cards (the credit-card-sized passive access card) plus Bluetooth phone-key + an optional key fob (~$175 OEM on Model S / X). Tesla service centers can be weeks-out for a non-emergency key card pairing. We come to your garage with new OEM cards + fobs, walk you through the in-touchscreen pairing flow, and you're back on the road in 30 minutes. Technical Details
How Tesla Keys Actually Work
Tesla doesn't use a traditional ignition immobilizer with transponder keys like ICE cars. Instead, every Tesla supports three key types: (1) NFC key cards — credit-card-sized passive access cards that authenticate when tapped on the B-pillar, (2) Bluetooth phone-key — your iPhone / Android via the Tesla app authenticates when in range, and (3) an optional Model S / X key fob (~$175) that uses Bluetooth + a backup NFC zone. Pairing is done entirely via the in-touchscreen menu (Controls → Locks → Add Key) with an authorized existing key required to authorize the new one.
Used Tesla — Why You Need Fresh Keys
When you buy a used Tesla, the previous owner's NFC cards and phone-keys may still authorize the vehicle until they're explicitly removed. This is a significant security gap — we strongly recommend pairing fresh new OEM cards and removing all previous keys from the touchscreen authorization list. Takes about 30 minutes on-site. Tesla service centers also do this but the wait is 1–4 weeks for a non-emergency.
Lost All Keys — Edge Case
If you've genuinely lost ALL key cards AND can't access the Tesla app on your phone, the situation is harder — Tesla requires you to prove ownership at a service center. In that case we can't help directly (Tesla only). But if you have ANY working key card or phone-key authorized, we can pair fresh keys at your driveway today.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you really pair a Tesla key card on-site?
Yes. We bring OEM Tesla NFC cards and walk you through the in-touchscreen Add Key flow. About 30 minutes start-to-finish.
I lost the only key card — what now?
If you can still access the Tesla app on your phone (phone-key still authorized), call us at (682) 344-1957. We'll pair fresh cards on-site. If both phone-key AND all cards are lost, you'll need a Tesla service-center visit (we can't help in that edge case).
Do you work on Cybertruck?
Yes — Cybertruck uses the same NFC card + phone-key + optional fob system as Model 3 / Y / S / X. We support it.
Can you supply a Model S / X key fob?
Yes — we stock genuine Tesla key fobs for Model S and Model X (Model 3 / Y don't have a key fob option, just NFC card + phone-key).
I just bought a used Tesla — should I get fresh keys?
Yes — strongly recommended. Previous owner's cards and phone-keys may still authorize the vehicle. We'll wipe old keys + pair fresh cards on-site for around $145–$295.
