Will This Fix My Problem?

Honest answer: here's exactly what this service fixes — and what it doesn't. Save yourself time and shipping cost before ordering.

This service fixes:

  • Car cranks and starts briefly, then shuts down
  • P1570 — Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer
  • P0513 — Incorrect Immobilizer Key
  • Installed a used ECU and cannot pair it to the original cluster
  • Damaged instrument cluster (24C64 EEPROM) on 2011-2016 VW Jetta and similar — bypass entirely
  • Another locksmith damaged your instrument cluster and the car will not start
  • No working key, need to run the ECU on the bench without dealer pairing

This service won't fix:

  • Completely dead vehicle (no power at all)
  • No-crank conditions (starter not engaging)
  • Mechanical engine faults unrelated to immobilizer
💡

Damaged cluster from a failed key attempt? We can bypass it.

A very common scenario: another locksmith tried to make a key on a 2011-2016 VW Jetta (and many other VW/Audi models with a 24C64 EEPROM in the cluster) and damaged the IC or 24C64 chip in the process. The car will no longer start because the immobilizer chain is broken between cluster ↔ ECU. We can disable the immobilizer directly inside the ECU — your car will start with no working cluster and no matched keys required. This recovery path is what we get the most calls about, and most shops will turn it away.

Frequently Asked

Still have a question? Text us — we usually reply within minutes.

Will this fix a car that won't crank at all?
No. This service is for vehicles where the engine starts briefly then shuts down due to immobilizer coding (P1570, P0513). It will not fix a completely dead or no-crank vehicle.
Do I need to send the keys?
No. After the IMMO delete is performed, the ECU will run without any key matching. You will not need any keys for the engine to start (you still need a physical key to turn the ignition or push start the vehicle).
What if my ECU needs to be opened?
Some MED17/ME17 ECUs require opening the unit to access the chip directly. This may void the part's warranty. We will let you know before opening if your specific variant requires it.
How fast do you turn it around?
24 hours from receipt. If your module arrives on a Monday morning, it ships back Tuesday. We send tracking the moment it leaves.
Can I get my VIN written too?
Yes — included on request, no extra charge. Note your VIN on the included slip or in your order email.
My VW Jetta cluster (24C64 EEPROM) got damaged when another locksmith tried to make a key — can you still get the car running?
Yes. This is one of the most common reasons people send us their ECU. We disable the immobilizer at the ECU level which bypasses the damaged cluster entirely. The car will crank and run normally with no working cluster and no matched keys required. Common on 2011-2016 VW Jetta and many other VW/Audi models that use a 24C64 EEPROM in the instrument cluster.
